We never underestimate the importance of Health and Safety, it is at the forefront of our designs and our installations on site.  All of the TouchWood team are fully trained in the most up to date Health and Safety procedures.

But don’t just take our word for it.  On request we can provide full documentation for our Health and Safety policy, Risk Assessments, Child Protection policy, and our public and employee liability insurance. All of our equipment complies with British standard regulations EN-1176-1:2008 and EN 1176-7:2008 and TouchWood is a member of the ConstructionLine Scheme (reference no 110902).

How do we ensure compliance with EN1176?

EN1176 is a standard that is aimed at providing guidelines against which a risk assessment is written about the play installation. We tend to meet with the client and establish the level of risk that they are willing to accept on a risk benefit basis. Risk benefit is an assessment of the installation where risks are accepted if the benefits from the activity outweigh the potential hazards it presents. We generally encourage you to accept a Low risk on this basis. The risk levels will be assessed by an independent inspector who will provide a report pre and post installation for us to discuss.
Inspections are carried out to European Playground Standards EN 1176 and EN 1177 by the Play Inspection Company
