The Role
We are seeking a skilled Installations Manager to join our Operations team. The team plays a crucial role in ensuring our playground installations are completed on time, within budget and with exceptional quality.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Overall responsibility for adventure park and playground installations across the UK and overseas
- To comprehensively facilitate successful installations within budget and timescale constraints, whilst continually meeting TouchWood’s high customer satisfaction and quality benchmarks
- To set up, monitor and report on projects, seeking to value engineer existing projects and to work with sales to win new projects
- To innovate, lead and implement successful working processes and relationships internally and externally to the business
Responsibilities
- To be a main point of contact for clients and stakeholders, before during and after the installation stages
- To carry out assessments of new sites to assist in cost estimates, timescales and planning
- To prepare new sites for the incoming teams alongside site leads
- To facilitate site lead and operations teams, including:
- Allocation of resources such as labour, materials, plant and vehicles
- Provision of site packs for teams that are fit for purpose and contain the correct amount of relevant information for successful construction
- Accommodation and welfare
- To provide staff with appropriate training
- Produce all relevant documentation for health and safety requirements specific to each site before, during and after installation
- Ensure PPE is provided and fit for purpose
- To ensure all teams work conscientiously, in a way that represents the business in the best possible light and that teams consider all installations as our ‘shop window, building client confidence in our product and personnel and promoting the business to future clients
- To create good working relationships with the other departments in the business, having a collaborative approach to problem-solving and innovation
- To create and manage good, long-term working relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors
- Ensure site teams produce relevant reports and health and safety records
- Ensure site vehicles are fit for purpose and represent the business well
About You
You are a proactive and conscientious professional with extensive experience in landscape construction and project management. Your ability to manage large-scale projects, uphold stringent health and safety standards and collaborate effectively with clients and teams aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering outstanding play environments.
Required:
- Landscape construction experience
- Project management experience
- SSSTS
- Willing to travel, and work in the field, staying away from home as required
- Full clean driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience of project managing large installation projects with values from £40k – £2m
- Working knowledge of landscaping or the construction industry
- Experience in maintaining health and safety standards and ensuring continual compliance
- NPORS telehandler and 360 excavator licence
- Working knowledge of setting out sites using lasers and theodolites

- £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
