Are you interested in joining a leading design and build company specialising in timber playground equipment? TouchWood Play are searching for a Site Lead to join our team who create amazing play spaces for top leisure attractions, schools, public parks and more.

Since 2002, we’ve created hundreds of play experiences for parks, schools, visitor attractions, trusts, charities and commissions both in the UK and across the world.

As a Site Lead, you will be a strong leader who’s capable of managing a small team of operatives daily. You’ll be an integral part of our manufacturing and installation teams and your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
· Planning and organising site tasks and jobs on a daily basis.
· Day to day supervision and running of projects, ensuring the programme is adhered to and tasks conducted efficiently.
· Liaise with design, manufacturing, and installations departments to set out and complete the site installations in accordance with the CDM guidelines.
· Be the main site contact between site teams, management, suppliers and clients.
· Manage the site installations safely, efficiently and to set deadlines.
· The ability to interpret architects’ drawings and set the sites.
· Manage the safety and welfare of your site installation team.
· Communicate with management to complete and sign off the site in accordance with PSI, H&S and play safety requirements.
· Manage and delegate roles and tasks on site.
· Ensure site vehicles, plant and equipment are maintained and working correctly.
· Order plant, equipment and materials when required.
· Take overall responsibility for your site teams H&S documentation: PUWER, LOLER, HAVS, vehicle and plant inspections including Toolbox talks on a weekly basis.
· Be responsible for all on site expenditure and working to budget.
· Ensure materials are adequately resourced in suitable time.
· Confident in face-to-face communication with clients, suppliers and contractors.
· Be willing to work away for extended periods of time.
The role of a Site Lead is varied and would suit someone who has experience working in an outdoor environment, in all weather conditions and has good knowledge of landscaping, fencing and groundworks. Experience of woodwork/carpentry is desirable, however a full UK driving license is essential.
You will enjoy manual work and have a well-rounded skill set in using various tools and machinery. As the main link between site teams, management, and clients you will ensure your sites are run efficiently, managed to programme and adhere to H&S and CDM regulations and guidelines. You will be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills, have excellent attention to detail and have good communicational skills to achieve an efficient and cohesive working environment.
Based in Bristol, you will need to be flexible and will be required to work on sites throughout the UK and on occasions overseas for blocks of 2-4 weeks at a time.
