Every playground we create goes through an accessibility assessment in collaboration with you to identify the accessibility needs of the installation and make sure that now, and in the future, the playground is accessible to all visitors.
Before we ‘hand over the keys’ to your installed playground, we work with an independant play safety inspector and ROSPA to ensure that every playground we create complies with the EN1177/6 guidelines for playgrounds in Europe. You then get a report that states that your playground is compliant.
Every design Touchwood creates goes through a physical and digital design process that ensures our playgrounds meet and exceed standards set for building in the UK. We then produce everything ourselves and check it is structurally sound and installed correctly when we hand it over to you to be doubly safe.
We are fully committed to minimising our effect on the planet and do so by reducing our company emissions wherever possible, sourcing sustainably wherever we can and working with our partners to minimise their impact as well. We make sure that as a manufacturer, installer and procurer that we are fully compliant with environmental legislation and try to be better.
We have full professional indemnity insurance up to £5m worldwide. We also have Liability Insurance as employers for all our staff worldwide.
We offer a range of warranties depending on your specific design. But as a rule of thumb, we offer a 10-year warranty on structural timber elements, a 5-year warranty on other timber components, a 5-year warranty on bespoke timber carved items and manufacturer guarantees from any 3rd party providers.
We can take responsibility for the care of your playground if you would like. We have three tiers of after care – bronze, silver and gold. Bronze is our entry-level after care and it includes annual maintenance and repairs, Gold is quarterly. Pricing for all tiers is upon request based on your specific design.
